Business Philosophy

Over the past thirty years, I have moved six times, bought ten homes and sold eight. I thought why not put to good use all that I have learned from my home buying and selling experience? So without another thought I jumped into the real estate market and became an agent. Some may ask ‘why, at this uncertain time in the marketplace?’ My answer is always the same, ‘if I can be a good real estate agent in a fluctuating market, then I will be a great real estate agent in a more stable market.’

My experience as a home buyer and seller has helped me to understand just what my clients are looking for. I will actively listen to your needs, work hard to find what you are looking for and serve you with a smile.

As someone who has relocated several times I am equipped to help you find the right neighborhood, quickly integrate in the local community, and find the services that meet your needs.

So whether you know someone who is relocating because of their job or a student coming to one of our universities looking for a place to call home, please keep me in mind. I will treat your friends and family as I would treat mine.

For the First-Time Home Buyer

I love working with the first-time home buyers. It is an exciting time and you need an agent who is patient, energetic, and who can provide you with the resources you need to confidently jump into the real estate market. I hold quarterly seminars specifically designed to answer all of the questions that first time home buyers have. Questions like; “Where am I going to get all of that money, how do I select an agent, and after I find my dream home, then what?”

I also have an amazing list of resources that can help you spruce up or customize your first home purchase. I am always available for my clients to call, even after their purchase, as questions arise about, taxes, mortgages, and repairs or any other thing pertaining to the upkeep or maintenance of your new home. Consider me your greatest resource.

Condos, Single Family Homes and Your Property

I have owned both condos and single family homes and know intimately the upkeep and sale techniques for each. This makes me versatile and a fount of information, a key to success in this ever changing market where you need a sharp, savvy agent working for you 24/7.

Serving as the president of my condo association has given me a unique and different perspective and understanding of condo purchasing and selling. I understand much more fully how associations, reserves, FHA financing, and condo restrictions play into the sale or the purchase of a condo. Neither the buyer nor the seller will have to be concerned or feel like they are not fully informed because I will make sure that they have all of their questions answered.

Over the past 39 years I have owned six single family homes and four condos and have sold seven of them. I know what it takes to get a home sold and I know the emotions the buyers and sellers feel. I can empathize with both sides and that is a quality that serves my clients well. I have worked with many real estate agents as a home seller and a buyer and I know what I liked and did not like about each one. I have learned from my experience and I hope that I present to my clients the best possible agent that they can have.

Personal Background

I am the mother of four grown children and 7 grandchildren (tell me I don’t look old enough?). As I said before I am currently the president of my condo association and I volunteer with the Kiwanis Club of Evanston. In addition, I am actively involved with the women’s group and the young adults in my church. I enjoy reading, hiking, and spending time with family, especially my husband of 39+ years!
